- I'm not clear from your description, but it sounds like you may be
- installing both a com port and a modem at the same com port (address).
- An internal modem includes the "com port", so make sure that you don't
- install the modem at an existing com port address.

- Try running PortInfo with the modem OUT of the computer to make sure
- that the com port address is not being used by another com port.
